Dombrance - Giscard D'estaing

The 10th digital release for @DogsandVulturesRecords comes via Mexican producer Alfredo Cardenas aka @2612Montessori in collaboration with the producer, dj and vocalist @Badmoiselle.

There are two originals on the EP 'Aircraft Reel' and 'Fanjoyen', both focused towards the floor . Remixes come from fellow countrymen Rigopolar and Colossio, Italian duo Younger Than Me and French artist @Dombrance.

The latter who is coming hot off the success of his recent album take on 'Aircraft Reel' delivers a killer cut which has an fantastic weirdo break down and kick and is sure to be ripping up many a dance floor.

On ne sait plus où donner de la tête. Les styles et les visages se succèdent dans un tourbillon absurde : disco, Giscard d’Estaing ; techno, Raffarin. Dombrance, moitié du collectif parisien DBFC, s’est paré des illustrations loufoques d’Olivier Laude pour proposer un univers loufoque, animé par une armée de politiciens bien de chez nous. C’est ainsi que l’on tombe sur une Christiane Taubira en lévitation, un Jean‐Pierre Raffarin grimé en chef cuisinier sous le modèle d’un meme viral de 2017, ou encore Valéry Giscard d’Estaing en train de siroter un Perrier‐Citron. Et sous ces pochettes, des titres aux couleurs variées, où un disco‐funk ensoleillé flirte souvent avec les sonorités plus corsées de l’acid-house, voire techno. Les arpégiateurs serpentent autour de caisses claires organiques et de lignes de basses langoureuses, les kick font office de tapis pour une voix lunaire, scandant le nom du protagoniste à la manière d’un Pokémon.
