Across six tracks, a dream unfurls into sound – patterns emerging like scattered water droplets, a flowing dance of chance and texture.
For Turmalin Dub, Tom of Terram (an alias of Tom Sprenger, one half of Hektisch Sprengen) teams up with Listensport. This EP flourishes in the fertile space between the organic and the synthetic, where textures breathe and rhythms pulse like living beings. It is shaped by five original creations and a ’90s-inspired French Dreamspell house remix by RAMZi, carrying the timeless spirit of the dancefloor.

Turmalin Dub stands as a musical crystal, refracting light into deep colour and pulse; a fortress for the spirited and unconventional, an elegant tapestry of sound. The opening track weaves psychedelic hues with Balearic warmth, dubwise basslines, and whispers of slippery roots-reggae dub. Trance-inflected echoes flow together like water: from immersive ambient waves to intricate patterns and softly blurred dub techno. The release closes with Spirit, a track echoing the warmth and sway of trancehall, bridging introspective moments and the kinetic energy of a floor in motion.

Brazilian DJ, vinyl digger, party starter, and style icon Martha Pinel has officially joined the Toy Tonics family. Splitting her time between Rio de Janeiro and Berlin, she’s the founder of Assembleia, a laid-back Rio party that’s become a Carnival sensation, and co-founder of Croma, a music-meets-fashion project that shaped Rio’s alt-scene. Featured on the cover of GQ Brazil, she was named one of “13 artists changing the world.”
Her non-linear DJ sets fuse Afro-Brazilian rhythms, Middle Eastern grooves, Italo, disco, house, and Balearic sounds - always bold, emotional, and unpredictable. She’s played Boiler Room, Paris Fashion Week, KALA Festival, DGTL, and more, alongside names like Hunee, Antal, and Prins Thomas.
Martha’s debut EP Real Rio captures a rediscovery of her hometown—a city where beauty and chaos collide in dramatic highs and lows. De afgelopen periode ben ik dieper in spiritual jazz gedoken en heb ik ontzettend veel nieuwe parels ontdekt. Het voelt alsof dit genre elke keer weer nieuwe deuren opent – naar rust, naar energie, naar iets groters.

Deze mix is een weergave van die reis: een combinatie van oude klassiekers die altijd blijven raken en nieuwe ontdekkingen die mijn oren en geest hebben geopend. Het is zowel een eerbetoon aan de roots van spiritual jazz als een viering van de oneindige vernieuwing die het genre blijft brengen.

Voor mij is dit muziek die ademt, die ruimte maakt, die verbindt. Ik hoop dat je dezelfde warmte en inspiratie voelt als ik tijdens het samenstellen.

Hailing from Barcelona, Lis Sarocca is an artist very much on the rise and her ever growing discography will go some way to explain why. She has starred on standout releases from the likes of MAAI, Tresydos, Smallville, Chiwax, Shall Not Fade, a vintage Mobilee entry, and the excellent collab between Anna Walls’ The Bricks and System Error. 

A regular fixture at some of Europe and America’s finest parties, she has written a line under a fantastic summer with a lauded performance at this year’s Dimensions Festival. There is no sign of the Spaniard turning in for the year as she continues to light up dancefloors wherever she appears.

Her recording for our InSession series is testament to this and her sunny disposition shines through in this mix as she guides us through bass heavy, breaky goodness, dubby deep house, with stop offs in wiggly disco heaters and more than a few wonky stations along the way.
