Fifth episode of CALL NOW! invites Tampa, Florida-based DJ/producer @chris-mitchell  for a one-hour mix. In the first hour of today's show, he delivers a scathing hour of full-blown acid and rolling electro. In the second part, there follows Ayshel’s set, with an electro & industrial-oriented mood.

Chris Mitchell is a DJ, producer, and co-founder of Vanguard Sound and Anunnaki Cartel. Chris currently has releases on several labels such as @mike-tansella-jr, @squirrels-on-film, @carl-clan-d and @dearsoil . His emphasis in sound ranges from futuristic to raw and gritty. Chris has played in several venues internationally such as Tresor, Fuse, Concrete, Le Batofar and Bohemian Grove. He is currently launching his own label, Feral Colony, for self-releases and collaborations.

It was built by Italian engineer Giorgio Rosa, who made himself its president and declared it an independent state on 1 May 1968.Rose Island was never formally recognized as a sovereign state by any country of the world.  Rose Island was occupied by the Italian police forces on 26 June 1968, subject to naval blockade, and eventually demolished in February 1969

Veslemes (aka Felizol) makes his debut on Invisible Inc with this astonishing new album that comes hot on the heels of last year's ground-shaking "I Know Where You Live Vangelis!".

With "Apolithoma" Yannis Veslemes takes us further into the dark crevices of his psyche.

The album's themes are inspired by the dystopian sci-fi of JG Ballard's "The Drowned World" and "The Crystal World": both novels eerily prophetic in their dystopian visions of an irradiated Earth over which a bloated, blinding sun makes living as we know it bearable only within a few hours around dawn and dusk. Sea levels have risen and cities that are not wholly flooded are overgrown with emergent new flora adapting to this new and hostile environment.

In more remote locations, overgrown jungles and forests are exhibiting signs of a strange crystallisation: entire swathes of jungle petrified, calcified, crystalized, fauna included...and stories of missing explorers rumoured to themselves have crystalized!

An allegory for our times, for sure....but more importantly, the album is as adventurous musically as it is conceptually. Where on the surface we have stories themed around an external dystopian world, the music, like the rising floodwater, presents us with a lens through which to look at the internal world: on one hand a distorted prism into what lurks beneath, yet at the same time a perfect reflection - a mirror into the psyche.

At times dark, at times playful, unreservedly psychedelic, the album's wildly different musical styles all capture an atmosphere that is as profound and mystical as it is unique.

Featuring an assortment of guest musicians on saxophone, clarinet, vibraphones, oboe, guitars and other instruments not often heard in partnership with electronic music, the resulting collection of songs is up there with the best of Invisible Inc.

The strange song floated through the trees, growing ever louder as you plunged deeper into the jungle. It were as if the whole of the jungle had come together for its own personal concert; a natural spectacle that united animals, insects and reptiles. The frogs chanted while the cicadas buzzed loudly, joining the birds in a cacophony of sound that radiated for miles and miles.

Dans le Desert is a brand new label seeking to "translate the movement of dancing spirits into language of sound". Their first ritualistic offering comes from Cafe de la Jungle, a seven-track EP titled 'Dancing with Cicadas'. Like the name suggests each production marries organic and natural atmospheres with fluid rhythms to oscillate your body and hypnotic soundscapes to open your mind and connect with your spirit.

Wisdom from the child’s mouth always tells us the truth.
It’s hard to overstate the influence of Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg on A Colourful Storm; indeed, it’s almost impossible to imagine the label’s existence without it. A figure whose movements within Germany’s industrial avant-garde span almost forty years, it would be in 2010 that he unknowingly entered our orbit through two important releases. At the time, SPK’s Auto-Da-Fé and Throbbing Gristle’s Journey Through A Body left some impression on us, their discovery propelling an interest in the possibilities opened up by industrial music that we still explore today. Responsible for publishing these releases was Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien - who, or what, were they?
Founded in 1980 by Hamburg-based Uli Rehberg, Walter Ulbricht Schallfolien was a base for Laibach, Asmus Tietchens and Werkbund as well as Rehberg’s own artistic endeavours: the most devilishly humorous his adopting of the name Dr. Kurt Euler, spokesperson of a satirical political party comprised of musicians Felix Kubin and Gregor Hartz. The project would foreshadow the life of Ditterich von Euler-Donnersperg, an alias unveiled in 1998 with the first in a series of spoken word 7” picture discs that have since become highly collectable.
Attracting an enviable list of collaborators throughout his career (John Duncan, Thomas Köner and Column One have all lent their expertise), it is perhaps the enigmatic Werkbund project that remains most coveted within the world of von Euler-Donnersperg. Cloistered and clandestine since their inception in 1987, their brooding, synthetik atmospheres have long been speculated to be the work of von Euler-Donnersperg himself. Listen to Werkbund’s Skagerrak or Stahlhof and tell us we’re wrong...
The culmination of decades of sound research and electroacoustic investigation, Weisheit aus des Kindes Mund tut uns stets die Wahrheit kund is significantly also a tribute to von Euler-Donnersperg’s children, their voices and spoken word hocus-pocus conjuring clairvoyant visions amongst soaring metallic sheen and spectralist digital debris. Cybernetic ooze spilling into servers and causing subdued bleep signals and static. A slasher film soundtrack starring the German avant-garde dressed in laboratory coats. The latest piece of von Euler-Donnersperg’s peerless, endlessly imaginative puzzle.
