Just before the pandemic hit back in February 2020, we road tripped up to Philadelphia to catch our old friend Truly Madly headlining a Subsurface event and met residents John Raffaele @johnraffaele and Keen. We kept in touch over the dark days of the pandemic, and fast forward to 2024, they visited us in Washington DC to play for the Deep Dive crew Friday March 15, and while they were in town, they stopped by the DC House Grooves studio to spin some tunes for us. We ran into Poten @poten (Majik Omada / Hack the  Planet) at Deep Dive's  @deep-dive-dc May 3rd and he mentioned that he wished he had got in touch to schedule a show.We loved what he was playing at Deep Dive, so we thought why not schedule a show while he's in town? So we made it happen! A real trooper after spinning until 7am that morning, Poten joined us May 4th to throw down a fantastic all-vinyl set on DC House Grooves 155, as always with support from Andy Grant & Katrina Mir. Four years ago, Sam "The Man" Burns headlined our Body Werk party at DC9 Nightclub in Washington DC, playing alongside DJ Double 07. We recorded the whole night, and at the time I discussed with Sam posting his set in our Meet the Locals podcast series. I never got round to posting it, as I figured I'd invite Sam to do episode 100 of the podcast. I completely forgot about it until I found it on my  hard disk yesterday after I heard the news of Sam's passing. So here it is, never published before, Sam Burns Live at Body Werk  March 12th 2016.
