"There is a very special track in this set that I've never used before because it's not so easy to play, but I will tell you something about it:
More or less 10 years ago before I even knew what techno really is, I was driving to work with a colleague when he puts this song on called Stranger (to Stability) by Dustin Zahn, Len Faki remix. When I heard it, till today I can't properly describe what feelings went through my body, but I had goosebumps all over my body! Since then I listened to this track repeatedly until finally I asked a friend to take me to a club where they play this kind of music. He took me to Tresor and this is where it all started. 
This one track definitely influenced the way I produce and play records nowadays."

This is the story about mobit. (@mobit-bln) and why we had to name this set Stranger to Stability. We feel really honoured that he decided to use this track for our podcast and love the story behind it!

Ash Roy’s illustrious career has seen him perform around the world. Today he’s one of the most revered acts in India’s underground dance music scene and is constantly touring across the country and beyond playing at the best festivals and clubs around, pulling in hoards of fans everywhere he goes.
From founding Jalebee Cartel to Soupherb records, Ash has come a long way. As an individual producer / DJ, Ash’s style moves through genres that range from minimal-techno to techno.  Other than homegrown label Soupherb, Ash Roy’s music has been released on various other prestigious labels such as Trapez Ltd., Monique Musique, Tulipa recordings, Bully Beatz, Creepy Fingers, Patent Skillz, Sensum Digital, Gain records, Tialoc records, Shinocs music, Ballroom, Evil Flow, 5D records and more. 
Ash Roy has a bunch of awards to his credit including MyFav India's 'Best Techno DJ' for the year 2014, VH1 Sound Nation's 'Best Electronic DJ' and ‘Producer of the Year’ at MyFav awards 2015 and 2016. He’s shared headliner space with the likes of The Chemical Brothers, Prodigy, Modeselektor and Carl Cox, played with the likes of Richie Hawtin, Dubfire, Sasha, Cari Lekebusch, Fergie, Nic Fanciulli, Ambivalent and many more. Articles on him have appeared on publications such as Rolling Stone, DJ Mag NL, Euphoric mag, Pulse Radio and more. 
With his growing popularity in Europe, Ash Roy is now based 6 months in techno-mecca Berlin, and the remaining 6 months in India. 2017 saw him make his debut performance at the massive Awakenings festival in Netherlands, where he performed again in the year 2018. 2019 saw Ash make his debut tour of Australia with a performance at the prestigious Esoteric festival apart from other gigs at some of the best clubs for underground music in Melbourne, Geelong and Hobart. 
2020 began with a performance at Mimag’s THE LAB in Mumbai.  The video stream of Ash Roy’s set received over 124k views, 1,000 likes and over 180 shares. He also made his debut recently at the prestigious Lost Paradise festival in Thailand and there’s much more in the pipeline this summer onwards.

DCMB Records is a crew and label that was born out of a desire to give back to the vibrant electronic music scene in Berlin. Co-founders Filipe Dionysos Santana and Nuno Roque, both Portuguese-born residents of Berlin, began by hosting events at iconic venues like Berlin Ballhaus, where they combined live visual arts with music to create an immersive experience for attendees. The name DCMB is a nod to the four cities that have played a significant role in the development of electronic music and rave culture.
Since its inception, the crew has grown to become a respected name on the scene, with a roster of exciting young artists, a label and a regular event schedule that has taken them to venues like Anomalie, Ritter Butzke, Remise, Birgit, Bulbul, Beate Uwe, Chalet ,Burg Schnabel and many others. They are hosting two event series "Find Your Roots" and “ALT_F4”, showcasing their artists and providing the best techno music experience for the attendees.
With sounds ranging from high-speed techno and groovy hypnotic beats to progressive house and downtempo, DCMB Records serves up a diverse array of electronic music for all tastes. The crew's goal is to create memorable moments on the dance floor and to continue to evolve and grow as they take little big steps towards a brighter future.
