This googologism is the one from which I derive my name, so it's a bit of a closed loop for me to make a song based on it!

As stated on the Googology Wiki, the Zootzootplex, coined by Andrew Schilling, is the exponential factorial of the Googolplex. There are a few concepts to explain here. The Googolplex is defined as 1 followed by Googol zeroes. You may remember Googol as 1 followed by a hundred zeroes. The Googolplex is very big.

"Factorial" describes the operation in which a number is multiplied by all the integers before it down to 1 (or 2, if you prefer). 5 factorial (written 5!) is equal to 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120.

The "exponential factorial" describes a similar operation, but instead of multiplying, the numbers less than the original number become exponents. 5 exponential factorial (written 5!1) is equal to 5^4^3^2^1 ~ 5.96 x 10^16 (the ~ symbol means "approximately equals" in this case).

Now consider a googolplex^(googolplex-1)^(googolplex-2)^(googolplex-3).......3^2^1. This gargantuan number, whatever it ultimately evaluates to, is known as Zootzootplex.

Winds of Change

(edited, 5 years later) my attempt to recreate Penumbra Phantasm using the MIDI file that was leaked in ~2017, using instruments mentioned in channel names. the end result is messy and I am not a musician by any means - so overall sound quality is far, far from perfect.

I take no credit for this work, and please keep in mind that this is a recreation. This MIDI file is very old - maybe from 2012, and there were many other iterations of this track, so it is not a final version at all. 

Homestuck community was asking me to do not share it even in this form, and I am sorry that I did not listen to them. To me, this is quite an important piece of media history, and I am sure that someday, many-many years in the future, there will be a plenty of people having interest to know more about Toby Fox and Homestuck, and obscure things about them like this one. This is the only reason I've kept it public.
