Steve Hillier wrote the verses and chorus of this song a decade or so ago, the lyric having been inspired by an everyday family tiff (“with hindsight, nothing too serious!”); the middle-eight section, was contributed by songwriter Mike Carroll with whom he was working at the time.

The Dead Cherry Pickers Music Society (DCPMS) started life during the first pandemic lockdown in March 2020 as a recording project to keep us occupied whilst incarcerated at home. Steve Hillier, Phil Toler, Martin Kent and Danny Prendergast started writing and recording remotely from each other...each contributing their own parts and sending files to Steve or Phil for mixing, then on to Mart for releasing.
