Born and raised in Klatovy - small city in the Czech republic to Vietnamese parents, DCR Milda is a 24 year old DJ currently based out of Toronto Canada. Well known to his community and fanbase for his wild and vibrant hair colors, sunglasses, gum chewing and seemingly infinite energy during his performances, DCR Milda has rapidly become Toronto’s premiere party DJ playing the best of world house - Euro house, Afrobeats, Amapiano, Brazilian Baile funk, latin, edits, future beats and the like.

Being a person who has lived on three different continents has given DCR Milda a vast and diverse library of tracks and understanding of musical tastes to control a variety of different spaces. From underground raves and cool subculture parties to megaclubs and the O2 arena in Prague, from yacht festivals in Toronto to art basel in Miami, DCR Milda can easily blend in and find the connection in any environment.

DCR Milda is currently in studio producing singles for his debut project to be released later this year.

His goal is to become a bridge between cultures and worlds, uniting them through music and a shared journey. Representation is everything.

The next chapter is finally here! “Put Down Your Weapon”, my debut single is OUT NOW on all platforms.

It’s finally out, and I am extremely grateful to share it with you all. Really.

During the summer last year, while I was contemplating evolution and growth in my music career, I also faced the darkest moment in my life dealing with family issues. This made life even more challenging, especially mentally, and made me realize that DJing was no longer where I wanted to be. It was clear to me that I needed to level up and step into a new phase of my career. With years of experience as an open-format DJ, I knew transitioning to the producer’s chair wouldn’t be too difficult, but I also understood the importance of respecting the craft, learning its nuances, studying my favorite producers and artists worldwide, becoming familiar with DAWs, and contemplating how to blend all the genres I play into songs that represent me and my brand. This journey raised many questions about the sounds in my music, why I chose them, and whether they truly represented me or were just there.

This song led me to meet @exclap_ , a super talented producer who immediately understood my vibes and direction. After our first session where he showed me the raw vocals, I knew this song was perfect for my debut. It allowed me to showcase my skills and knowledge from the DJ world as well as from my new role as a producer. After months of tweaking and adjusting, I realized that knowing what tastes good doesn’t automatically make you a good chef - in this case, I had to return to the studio and continued refining the record. Meanwhile, when I wasn’t working on this song, I was developing others, and earlier this year, I realized I had around 70+ tracks in progress.

It’s time for me to start sharing with the world what I’ve been up to. The uncertainty about how people will perceive my work makes me nervous and excited, yet it reignites my passion for music, reminding me of when I first started learning to mix songs in my grandma’s kitchen 11 years ago.

I owe a big thanks to @photo_will @jbrjalloh @postofficesound @toniotones @paranoisewrld @polaroid.kev @gabbysarrouh @rickyfromchronic @everything_derek @roldykim for their feedback and guidance throughout this journey.

Special thanks to all the clubs owners, promoters for giving the chance to show my craft.

Without them, I wouldn't be here today, releasing this track. Their high expectations continuously push me to improve, even though initially their feedback made me feel like a kid at a parent-teacher conference. However, I've come to understand that facing challenges and gaining different perspectives are essential for growth, thanks to my team's guidance.

"Put Down Your Weapon" is also being distributed by Beatport, a dream come true for me as a Vietnamese artist with a Czech background. This opportunity has led my team to launch the More Sauce Music label, where we study, learn, make mistakes, and improve with the tools we have. Hopefully, down the line, we can share this knowledge with other artists, bridge cultures, and work with other artists where we can implement and adapt our success to their craft.

Every morning, I thank the universe for this life and everything it has given me the chance to experience. It reminds me of how far I've come and how much further I still have to go. The steps I take today aren't just for now but for the next 10 or 20 or 50 years. It's truly amazing what humans can achieve when they set their minds to it and find the right team who believes in their vision. I'm just a young boy from an immigrant background with big dreams who crossed the sea to pursue them. This release marks another milestone in my career, allowing me to pause and reflect on the fruits of years of hard work. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your love and support.
