Recording from the premiere of my piece 'Crick, Crack, Crocodile', a setting of the Children's poem by Joan Poulson, performed by Vaganza: the University of Manchester's New Music Ensemble.

Crick, Crack, Crocodile

In 2014, as part of a project my masters degree, I collaborated with playwright/director Joshua Val Martin on his single-performer play Back Seat Betty, at the time under working title The Evil. I composed some cliche/toungue-in-cheek horror music, ambient textures and sound effects to interact live with the actress who I performed alongside, playing pre-recorded audio files and triggering samples on my laptop using the program Max/MSP. I re-arranged the music and sounds into seven parts to form a kind of soundtrack but a lot of it made more sense in context! Pictured is the actress Roisin Brehony.

VI. The Seance/Fall In Love With Me (Iggy Pop)

‘[Re]collection’ is both a collection and a recollection of songs written between roughly 2009 and 2017. Although they were written and recorded at varying times about different subjects, together they form a coming-of-age story that covers leaving home, growing up, work, love, loss, and a particularly poignant episode of 'Skins'.
