About

Uphoria is the moniker of Olivia Gorgis, a revolutionary Australian DJ, who is one of the brightest upcoming stars on the techno horizon. Olivia was born in Greece and raised In Australia where her musical journey began. Her techno sounds cross boundaries with melodic beats and rolling basslines incorporating shreds of euphoric vocals. Integrating her love for all genres, she brings the feeling of music to life with her combination of songs.

Olivia's passion was ignited from the age of 14 when hours of music research became a thriving hobby and then progressed to a lifestyle after feeling the electrifying experience of her first music festival. Immersing in many different electronic genres, both hard and soulful, Olivia was taken away by the power music has to bring people together and produce such happiness. She believed music could change the world and bring peace and harmony that she has experienced on dance floors, which is when she decided she wanted to be a part of this magic.

Her incredible talent and willingness to learn has driven her to keep sharing music, in the form of DJing. Olivia’s ultimate goal is to perform at the iconic Rainbow Serpent Festival, where she can bring people together and be able to bring joy to the lives of everyone listening through music.

👨‍🎨Ollie de Vries's Bio:
Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Throughout my childhood I drifted between instruments and genres. Piano as a child; trombone as a teenager, bass guitar through to uni - all while covering music styles from jazz, funk, disco and progressive rock. However; later in life I realised nothing was as influential as when my Dad purchased of Logic 2 for Mac and a Korg X5 MIDI keyboard in the mid-1990’s - I’d sneak into his “studio” and was fascinated by the idea of being able to play and manipulate the sounds as I please. This was my discovery of my love and passion for electronic music.
Over 20 years later, I’ve spent almost every spare moment refining my passion into a unique and defined sound that takes influence from my past (jazz, funk and progressive rock in particular) and channels it into a unique electronic sound that sits somewhere across the spectrum of disco, deep house, progressive house and melodic house & techno.
