Meet Chris Mitchell, a talented DJ and producer based in the United States. He is the brain behind Feral Colony, an uncompromising label featuring artists such as TLXCO, Sons of Traders, Chupacabras, Blackmoon77, and BenjiDF. Prior to this he co-founded Vanguard Sound and Anunnaki Cartel.

Chris has released his most recent music on a variety of labels including Squirrels on Film, Sons of Traders, Italo Moderni, Black Lodge, Soil, and his own imprint Feral Colony. Additionally, he holds a monthly residency with Mutant Radio, showcasing future releases and current favorites.

6 track full album LP by Fashion Flesh aka John Talaga from Michigan. He is known for his “off the grid” approach to music and has solo releases on great labels such as Unknown Precept, Jacktone and Fit/Est. 83’ Records.

Most all of the instruments used to perform and produce are self-built electronics, oscillators, generators, sound toys, and modulators. Those that are not built from one's own design are heavily modified beyond audible recognition or return. No sampling/stolen sound is ever used or sucked from outside pre-existing sources. 

No laptops, instead tape manipulation and hard copy cut-ups...analog devices that are built for specific purpose and dis-purpose.

"Rubber Mountain" is Fashion Flesh's first full LP and the first solo album we've released on Black Lodge. 6 tracks of mutant mayhem, spanning from odd italo-disco flavors, to no-wave, post-punk, jakbeat, and experimental sounds from the beyond. 

Equally for the dance floor and home listening, this record has it all. Also a visual artist, this release is housed in a full color double-sided jacket with art created by John Talaga himself.

Decomposition is a mix series by Dead Channel. Fig. 24 comes from CONFLICT BUREAU. Currently in Chicago, they curate both the Desolation Jax and Leatherette nights (originally spawned in Boston in late 2021), and have been held in NYC and New Orleans. CONFLICT BUREAU is an absolute force in the world of mutant sounds. They hit Dead Channel with this ripper of a mix (recorded live in Chicago at Smartbar last month) cutting hard with freaked jakbeat, mangled acid, and chopped up, stomped out rhythms, in this mutated masterwork.

Decomposition Fig. 25 comes from Jaundice. Berlin based, but originally out of the Midwest (Cleveland and Nashville) Jaundice is a long time producer, DJ, and co-founder of the phenomenal Tram Planet Records. He has had a slew of releases on DKA, Sons of Traders, Atrophy Records and more, and has a monthly show on Mutant Radio. Tune in for this raw, experimental mix, traversing deep cut minimal synth and ebm, to high-octane acid, breaks, bit-crushed drum & bass, melancholic avant-garde and so much more.

Prepare to be transported into another dimension for an hour of fuzzed-out alien acid, broken up gutter electronics, and occult wave that fuse together seamlessly in this tenebrous set.
