Mani Festo joins the SweetBox ranks with two acid hardcore jungle tekno A-bombs: ‘Toxic Waste’ and ‘Warehouse 2.0’.

A true man of the moment, Mani’s finely tuned productions are in high demand right now. His catalogue boasts releases for the likes of Rupture, Hooversound, WNCL, E-Beamz and the Club Glow imprint he co-runs with Denham Audio, Borai and LMajor. 

His SweetBox debut starts deceptively slow, building up a head of steam via an incessant pulse and faint industrial chug. Once ‘Toxic Waste’ lets loose its slamming four-to-the-floor kick, however, it’s on a one-way train to total mayhem. Blistering breaks burst through the gloom as the track hurtles onwards like an unstoppable juggernaut, finally taking control in the form of clattering percussive carnage.
Flipside ‘Warehouse 2.0’ sees a similar pairing of jackhammer kicks and a chunky breakbeat, this time sliced through by a ravenous acid line that rises and rises, until it threatens to swallow the track whole. Paired with gargantuan, psychedelic arpeggios, as the title suggests, this one’s foaming at the mouth for a warehouse to pack to the rafters.

Another two unstoppable weapons for both the Mani Festo and SweetBox arsenals, ‘Toxic Waste’ / ‘Warehouse 2.0’ will drop 30th April.

On this weeks show we have the talented No Nation with a vinyl set filled of broken beats and jungalistic madness. 

Rooted in the sounds of Jazz, Progressive Rock and Fusion, No Nation quickly cemented himself as a staple within the Soul, RnB and old school Hip-Hop club scenes with a Residency at Vibe London, alongside stellar appearances at popular events like Old School Sundays and GotSoul Sundays, as well as international bookings across the globe. A transition away from his roots brought him closer to Jungle, and a residency on Subtle Radio exploring a fresh take on UK dance music.

As a producer his music is something to be savoured. Drawing inspiration from music on labels such as Inperspective and Scientific Wax, he combines a dynamic and diverse fusion of soulful sounds, chopped breaks and samples - sure to leave a lasting impression. Along with his production partner Sheba Q, No nation has several features on Bristol-based dance label, Slippery Sounds, and looks forward to releases on other notable imprints in 2021.

Western Lore is a Bristol based record label run by music producer, DJ and visual artist, Alex Eveson (Eveson / Dead Man's Chest).

kevdasrobot aka dj kikkoman aka daft fader returns to his first love - RAVE !!
Known to his chums as The Passenger started dj'ing in 93, on a strict diet of UK Rave and then Drum n Bass, Jungle.

He played on London pirate stations Origin and Hype FM and has since spread his unique love from Sankeys, Manchester, Elektrowerkz, London, to Ministry of Sound, Ibiza. 

He now devours genres like girls chomp crisps. Techno, House, Dub Step, Acid, Breakbeat, Fidget, Grime, DIrt n Dust!

After a short stay in Asia he is now in Italy spreading his bass, and continuing to mash genres to create this unique brand of bass n beats.
