The Thing That Always Explodes are a post punk band from Little Rock, Arkansas. Dead Media Tapes recorded them live-to-stereo in July of '08 using an early '60s Akai stereo tube reel to reel deck. Mixed to HIFI VHS tape, then duplicated onto 8 track cartridges. Other than digitizing for online purposes, this is was a fully analog process with no digital steps included.
