China. Home of in no particular order; the terracotta army, martial arts, a particularly impressive wall, Feng Shui and most notably - for us at least - stonkingly good electronic music. Yes, there's no doubt about it, the relatively unheralded Chinese music scene is enjoying a purple patch at the moment and with today's podcast we feel we're very much in the right place at the right time, chancing upon an artist at the peak of their powers.

So who are blabbering on about we hear you cry? Beijing based sound designer Shao Yanpeng is the answer. The first Chinese artist to join the Tresor family, he’s being tipped by anyone who's heard his work for a big 2016 and so we thought there was no better time than now to welcome him into the DT fold.

He debuted on  the label in 2012 with an EP called “Zero” where influences from 90’s breakbeat and IDM are sensible at the same with modern house and techno sounds. Since then he has contributed 3 more outstanding releases to the platform from Munich.
Andrea’s production and sets are distinguished as dark post-industrial sounds with emotional and abstract melodies.

We discovered Dietroiter’s music through his page on soundcloud and we were really impressed from his DJ sets.Dietroter is a true DJ who can easily jump from one style to another. You can catch him playing from Chicago acid and techno to electro and new wave with an unparalleled flow. 
He was also a resident DJ at Golden Pudel Club, a tiny underground club close to the Hamburg  Fischmark.
He is killer on the decks !
