Subsai & AOS13 reimagine two compositions in a new form.

The tracks were created during joint sessions between 2020 and 2021, and reimagined in 2025.
This release is a subtle homage to trip-hop rhythms and slow, reflective electronics.
It’s a meditation on time, change, and the continuity of the creative process.

“Spine” is a game of contrasts—a balance between restrained aggression and fluid motion. At its core lies a deep, dynamic groove, rooted in slow hip-hop influences yet constantly evolving. Synthetic textures wrap around the rhythmic backbone, forming a dense, organic structure. But just as the track finds its equilibrium, it abruptly shifts—layers of synthesis unravel, making way for a powerful 808 bass, tearing through layers of noise and distortion. In that moment, the track erupts, unleashing its full energy into the low frequencies.

“Frozen Artery” follows a different path. It opens with a crystalline pulse, steady yet restless, moving like a current beneath the surface. IDM textures gradually recede into the background, while the main melody floods the space, like blood coursing through an artery. In its final moments, the melody dissolves completely, morphing into a dense, melodic drone that absorbs the remaining rhythm.

Time has only sharpened their sound.

Info: Vancouver/Paris -based imprint Club Designs is back with its biggest compilation to date.

CDMUSIC012, the latest in the label's ongoing series of electro inspired VAs, boasts an eclectic mix of producers from across the globe, paying their respect to the classic Detroit genre.

The compilation features music from Vancouver heroes Greazus, French DMC champion Saligo, Berlin’s Insomniast, and label alumni Shanx, alongside label co-founders Sharkki, who teams up with hot French producer Body Hook, and Garneau who brings a deeper cut to the pack.

Tokyo newcomer Kanse keeps it old school, while Aleister and Minor Sine Project bring the modern productions into play. Sonically, the release traverses the full scope of the imprint's sound, with streamlined percussive club tracks, bass-heavy workouts, and leftfield electro explorations that nod to both UK club culture and North America's undergrounds.

Club Designs has been steadily building a reputation as a stronghold of gritty and raw dance music, and CDMUSIC012 sounds like both a rallying cry and a celebration of the collective energy that powers the label.

A true lover of breakbeats, Berlin-based DJ Anna Borrero, aka anna andersrum, takes inspiration from her roots in gritty East Coast hip hop, as well as in vibrant and rhythmic Puerto Rican genres. Acid and electro provided her a gateway into the world of wubs, from UKG to dubstep to jungle. While her sound carries a distinct UK influence, Anna's sets are global, featuring productions from Iran, Japan, Egypt, Australia, and beyond. Each is a dynamic fusion of styles, rhythms, and tempos, layered with acid and lethal bass. Anna also cohosts the monthly multigenre show “Chaotic Goods” on Subtle Radio.
