"Summer Salt” is Hause Plants’ second single from the debut EP 'Film For Color Photos EP', out in May 2021 via BIRTHDIY.

A witty take on modern day boredom, "Summer Salt" is a fast-paced indie rock song made for the sunny days.

“Days are all the same / Every weekend sucks a bit more” is sang on “Summer Salt”, painting the scenario which the song was born from, but against which it intends to fight, with every beat of the restless and impatient drums, every melody from the ethereal and reverberated guitars and every word sang by Guilherme’s contemplative and juvenile voice.

“Add some summer salt / Or I’ll just meet you in December” ends the song on a positive note, reminding the listener that it's in his/her hands to add a little bit of fun to his/her life.

“Nothing2” is a jilted yet strangely joyful sprawl about feeling nothing at all and everything all at once. A five and a half minute emotional outburst full of misery & magic, gut-wrenching punches, beautiful bruises, abrupt endings & unexpected new beginnings.  

Strange Souvenirs together with producer and creative collaborator Cameron James Laing turned a downtrodden demo into something melancholy, majestic … and a little bit mental.

The track was recorded, produced & mixed at The Famous Gold Watch Studio Berlin and features performances by a handful of charismatic & capable Berlin-based musicians and artists.

"Nothing2" hits stores and streaming services on May 13th 2021.
