Abstrakt Reflections Mix for Obscurum Noctis (Horae Obscura)

Here is a cover and a little improv on "Please Come Home for Christmas" which was first recorded by Charles Brown in 1960. Rather than a lost lover, I meditated on the yearning for the Christmas Spirit itself to return for the season and bring light, grace, and peace to every person who needs it.  I recorded the voice and piano first, then overdubbed myself on trumpet.

DCG Covers Ulvesang - The Purge

This track is a reconstruction of some sounds sent to me by Steinar Stensen during the Corona pandemic.  In addition to using Steinar´s files, I got some local cranes to lay down some vocals for the track.  The cranes, Tranhild and Tranulf, were recorded in April 2020, at their easter hangout at Gaustadvatnet, a small lake in the village of Korsveien, Melhus, Norway.

Second in an unpremeditated series, it's a subject that simply can't be ignored. Extraordinary that this little virus has controlled world events as we vacillate between fear and foolish defiance and wonder when it will all finally be over.
