This week's SweetCast straight outta Berlin w/ Sima!

Elo joins our radio today for our 42nd podcast release. Born and raised in Berlin, Elo started her journey in electronic music in other directions, but found her way to techno in the last couple months. Now 18 - Elo started a collective with her friends ( @azurcollective ) and is seeking to contribute to her hometown's much celebrated cultural scene!

After playing the piano as a kid, Elo first got into singing and produced pop music in her earlier years. She was then introuduced to the decks two years ago, which made her realize that she just loves playing music in front of people! Now, her goal is to cary her sets to larger stages where she can combine her singing with live techno sets.

—• Echion is a Berlin based DJ, producer and founder of Groove Provider. With almost a decade of experience in the scene, he’s a well-seasoned DJ and best known for his distinctive mixing and notorious sonic style: highly energetic soundscapes, cast into
pounding rhythms, interwoven with groovy and funky textures.

—• Prior to leaving his hometown Vienna the former Dead Sea Diaries resident promoted events at Grelle Forelle and Das Werk Wien. Sharing the decks with artists such as Alarico, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Kobosil, I Hate Models, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing and DJ Rush just to name a few. Driven by an inherent need to create music, his unwavering dedication and commitment to the dancefloor has led to releases on various labels such as Inherit Records, Twice Infinity, Hxagrm Records and Dystant Recordings.

—• In 2023 he founded Groove Provider, a community platform, podcast series and upcoming label. All dedicated to promoting and connecting the most talented DJs and producers in the industry, as well as up-and-coming artists who are pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Partiendo de una variedad de géneros, y fuertemente influenciado por grupos como Chemicals Brothers, Depeche Mode o The Smiths, ha ido perfeccionando un sonido único que le ha valido el reconocimiento en la escena musical actual.

Pernox is a German-based DJ and producer and known for his driving and high energy sound which mainly blends contemporary Techno and Trance elements. With a musical foundation rooted in playing the bass guitar and piano during his youth, Pernox took his first steps in DJing in 2016. Since 2017, he has held a residency at Geheimclub Magdeburg, where he gained extensive experience through numerous extended sets, learning to adapt his sound to different settings and take the crowd on a journey through various atmospheres. In recent years, he has showcased his preference for high-paced sets that never lack groove, performing at renowned venues throughout Germany such as RSO and Else, as well as at his first international gigs. Producing his own tracks since 2021 Pernox has already left some fresh artistic scent marks with remarkable releases on esteemed labels like Mama Told Ya and Maison Close Records which have been supported by key figures within the industry. With his flawless mixing skills and his careful track selection which lead to his signature sound, Pernox is unquestionably an artist to keep an eye on.
