Kindred Phenomena marks @Mattheis’ debut album. After two cosmic EPs on Nous’klaer and a mini-album on tape for Ecstatic Recordings, he now returns to Nous’klaer for his first full story. An album shaped for every occasion: driving from the city to the island, dancing in the living room, or raving at sunset.

On Kindred Phenomena Mattheis picks up where he left off: ‘Swell’ serves as another episode of the prisms, the modular synth excursion of ‘Bit Fragments’ pushes his arpeggiator solos a step further, and album standout ‘Ben_m’ provides his most beautiful dance of melodies yet. Solid Steel (14th April) Saoirse is our guest in Hour 1, who's had a passion for collecting records since her early years growing up in Ireland. Now based in London you can regularly hear her on Rinse FM and playing in clubs across the capital and the world with upcoming festival dates at AVA, Gottwood, Love International, Freerotation, Percolate Open Air and Houghton Festival. You can also catch her this Sunday playing b2b with previous guest Leon Vynehall at Sidexside in London. She told us;
"Ninja Tune alongside other labels such as Warp & Hyperdub were key in helping me discover different forms of electronic music when I started to become obsessed with buying records, it's had a huge influence in how wide my taste has become, so I wanted to put together a mix that reflects some of the sort of music it helped me find in the early days. It's quite different to mixes I've put together in the past for other platforms but is definitely an angle I want to take more and I really enjoyed recording it really loudly with a bottle of red. I play around with tempos a lot in this one so please don't be offended if you recognise a track but it's at the wrong speed :) :) "
