It’s About Us’ is a track I made which is dedicated to the launch of my new event concept: USS. The lyrics that you hear in the track represent what I’m aiming for with the concept of the event. I’d really to make sure that the collective of people attending our events will be the main focus and centre of everything, not necessarily the artist who is performing at that moment. The decisions we will make for our event - from stage design to lighting and other details - are all made with the idea of making sure the experience is more important than one single individual. This is how the event took shape, and this is also the core inspiration I had for this track. In my mind I could play this at the very start of my sets, in particular at The Roundhouse on Feb 1st. It’s soulful, and it has a message with a meaning for me to kick off this new chapter in my career. I can’t wait to play it there.

Whether flying solo or linking with partner in crime Chris Stussy as one-half of Across Boundaries, in-demand DJ/producer and live act Locklead continues to shape his take on contemporary house music. Having crafted a reputation as a go-to name for many with his sophisticated yet club-ready sound, his releases on Up The Stuss have showcased his refined ear and dancefloor instincts to their fullest. Now, the Utrecht-based artist is back as he adds to his debut album ‘Square One’ and the hazy ‘Moon’ with a new solo EP on the label, delivering a four-track selection that encapsulates his signature style — deep, hypnotic, and brimming with energy.

‘Unison’ sees Locklead flex his production prowess across a quartet of distinct yet interconnected cuts, each showcasing a different facet of his ever-evolving sound.
