messy room
only light shinin’ pale out her laptop screen
dim n blue 
not unlike her mood queen of apathy

deathly gloom
permeates her headspace
can’t remember the last time
she made her bed, ain’t had a
reason to draw her next breath
might as well stay empty
  
rather stay feelin this way
cuz feelings are way too heavy

but the bed is cold
and the silence unrelenting
baby’s on her own 
scrolling thru a digital deadspace

whoever’s on the other side
might as well be nihilistic shitposting ai
trapped inside their own little hell
just like the one inside me

never felt so damn alone
i think the shadow in the corner just said hello
maybe theres friendship in this world after all
at the end of everything

but far more likely
it’s prolly just the amphetamines

leaving my system
got me wishin i myself had the luxury
cuz wen i hit the road it hits back
n shit tends to get ugly…

the subway line cuts deep
get off in the northeast
the city’s throbbing heart of darkness
kensington & allegheny

climbing down off the platform
to level with the city’s streets

‘grimy’ aint do it justice,
this ‘hood’s a fuckin grizzly beast
business on the block is poppin’
the cops stay rollin’ but mostly just stay watchin’
while the 808s vibrate the ground beneath my feet

nobody here can judge you
cuz everybody you see
is in a space somewhere
between half and completely fallen asleep

the pavement makes my face’s acquaintance so ungraciously
