A tribute to Turrican, a fantastic series of run and gun shooters first introduced in 1990 for the C64. I recently got my hands on the Gameboy port and was unimpressed by the title theme adaptation, so I decided to make this loop. Credit to Chris Huelsbeck for the original piece, which rocks!

1xLSDJ, recorded on a DMG in Logic. No extra effects save a tiny bit of reverb and a fade out once the track loops.

"Going Places" is the first album released under my DEAD.PROCESS chiptune project. In total, it took about a week of work, spread over several months and delayed a few times. Each track is mastered in Logic with attempts being made to keep post prod to a minimum, so most tracks only have reverb and a few other little things on them. The album features a remix of Vault Kid's awesome track "Topdeck", (which was arguably the most fun to make :] ) and a remastered version of "Dance of the Dreadnaut", my first chiptune song, originaly made over 2 years ago. Hopefully somebody likes it.

Whole thing programmed/recorded/mastered in 5 hours. Mastering was very basic- just a bit of reverb, eq, and compression on the wave channel. Also remixed from memory, if that means anything.
I've played Crypt of the Necrodancer for about 60 hrs, meaning I've heard this song a lot, so it wasn't too bad.

Disco Descent was originally composed by Danny Baranowsky for the rhythm game Crypt of the Necrodancer, one of my favorite games of all time! If you've never heard of Necrodancer, check it out. It's got shovels and crossbows and dancing skeletons.
