Damn, and all I can say about my family passed the 3rd generation is they were farmers & small tradesmen in traditionally close knit eastern european jewish communities. If it wasn't for the Russian Revolution we'd all be beggars now or dead.

wow! this is one of the best Dead Pundits Society I've heard along with Nando Villa on Catalan Nationalism, and any episode with the brilliant muckraker Rania Khalek. I've read some of Pascal's writings at Black Agenda Report one of my favorite indie left newsoutlets led by Glen Ford and Bruce Dixon, and Pascal wow! this man was just on fire! :D what a superb truthteller, and even though I no longer Feel the Bern Pascal was soo right to take to task the Black Misleadership Caste as they smeared him and ignored class as an issue. And loved him criticisms of that ovrrated hack from the neo-liberal waste of ink known as the Atlantic Tahnhese Coates and his stupid wordy article on Reparations. When asked by Stepehn Colbert whether he thought NATIVE AMERICANS deserved reparations he said 'ehh possibly'. So he represents that vile black nationalism elitism Pascal was perfectly describing.
