Dead Sea Recordings presents 2nd single from Liraz - Israeli singer, songwriter and actress of Persian origins. Family of Liraz Charhi emigrated to Israel during the 70’s at the brink of the Iranian Revolution, and the inspiration from Persian culture and traditional Iranian music can still be heard in her modern renditions. Liraz has chosen her distant homeland and its culture as one of the most important topics of her artistic path. The role of women in the society and culture, perception of female artists and singers in Iran are the key issues for Liraz.

About Liraz:
Due to difficult political situation between Iran and Israel Liraz has never been able to visit her country of origin. Taking cues from Iran’s fiery and defiant female musical icons like Googoosh and Ramesh, Liraz's debut album 'Naz' reimagines their fighting spirit from the ‘70s. She sings in Farsi and the influences from those Persian forebears, where traditional Persian instruments were framed in a pop sensibility, are ever-present in an album dominated lyrically by the role of women in society and musically by the bounce of hip-hop and electronica with help from from Israeli producer Rejoicer.

Liraz’s “Naz” album is her first album, following release of two singles: “Nozi Nozi” and “Shirin Joon”. 

Her artistic activity has been spotted by international music magazines – Le Monde, Arte, Songlines, NTS, Wordwide.fm as well as DJs and selectors – Gilles Peterson, Chris P, Neil Bopperson.

After a big success of his first LP released last year, touring around the world and getting highly lauded by international crowd, Gili Yalo comes back with a new single "Sew Lesew" from his forthcoming EP - "Made in Amharica". Ethiopian origin, Israeli artist – Gili Yalo brings together more than two musical worlds this time. The new EP – Made in Amharica is a result of Gili Yalo’s cooperation with Niles City Sound - Grammy Awards nominees (Best R&B Album and Best Traditional R&B Performance for Leon Bridges’ LP “Coming Home”). "Sew Lesew" reflects the cooperation between Gili Yalo and Dallas based musicians in the high-end vintage equipped recording studios of Niles City Sound Studio in Fort Worth's South Main.
