To say that something is "smooth as a pile of rocks" implies that it is in fact the opposite. I wrote this song at the end of 2019 after the project "Tell My Momma Sorry" had come out. During that time there were issues with the release of the project which resulted in it getting taken off major DSP's after a week of major support. This along with a year of major fall-outs with family and friends, the struggles of making a life for yourself and battling my inner demons I felt with it the best way I know how, music. And Yvng ? Well you know every meal needs sauce and he brought exactly that.

To set the scene "My Fire" would be the background music to a person standing dead centre of the CBD in a high functioning city while the whole world moves around them.
 
The ominous bass lick and lyrics simultaneously put us in the mind of the individual and the rhythm of the beat lets us know the pace in which everything is moving. 

There's no real way to describe the song other than ominous with a little bounce.
