Liner notes: "Seventh Sign is an album of music composed and performed by the 1976 Concert Jazz Band of the University of Miami. 

The music of Seventh Sign is lush and exciting. The band, under the direction of Whit Sidener, is one of the finest college jazz bands in the world. Seventh Sign represents the artistic goals of the University of Miami's Studio Music and Jazz Program. This program guides it's students toward artistic sensitivity and, at the same time, gives them the skills and knowledge they need to earn a living as professional musicians. The jazz program has 100 majors. The curriculum includes courses on improvisation, jazz composition, arranging, analysis of jazz styles, film scoring, jazz piano, jazz guitar theory, and jazz pedagogy. It offers ensemble experience in jazz bands, small jazz groups, rock ensemble, and studio jazz orchestra. Students in the Program also receive a thorough background of knowledge and performance in more traditional forms of music. 

The young composers and musicians who created Seventh Sign have had this kind of broad background in music. Their music has the maturity of knowledge, and the excitement of youth. Seventh Sign draws ideas from many different styles of music, but it is music that is unique to Miami. It is fresh and exciting. It is a new dimension in jazz."

Shufflin Tymes - "King Kong Boogie" b/w "Star Trek" 12'' single on Lita Records. White cardboard sleeve with 12'' written in the right hand corner, "the miami disco sound" (in all lowercase letters btw) above the label and then "lita records" with the lita logo printed at the bottom. Center label on "King Kong Boogie" credits Norton Schwenfeld, while the Star Trek theme song was of course composed by Alexander Courage. Address listed on center label is PO Box 014 657 Miami, FL 33101. Discogs lists this as the "master release."
