P̷R̷E̷M̷I̷E̷R̷E̷ 🦛✨ Israfil - Courage au large [a89records]

The first Musik For Autobahns was a delight: softly-softly ambient and subtle cuts from the likes of Move D, Suzanne Kraft, Roman Flügel and plenty more besides. Even amongst Rush Hour's bounty that year, it stood proudly out. A ripple of excitement went through BR HQ upon finding out Gerd Janson was lining up a second, with no shortage of marquee signings all coming correct with their A game.

A number of heads come together to translate these thoughts into sound - from Fort Romeau's Drive-esque "Seleno" joyride through to the propulsive "Melancholy" of Disco Nihilist. Perhaps none elicit as many feels as the enveloping opener from Leon Vynehall though.

As well as being a mesmeric mimic of accelerating down Bundesautobahn 5 at daybreak, "Midnight on Rainbow Road" got our Debut nod for three main reasons: firstly, it kicked off last year's sublime set from Gerd & Ata (so, about time); second, it's a welcome return for Mr Vynehall after a richly deserved breakout year; third, dude's got previous with N64 titling. And that's something we can all get behind.

Mood Hut’s CZ Wang and Neo Image officially release MH006, a 12-inch that features their long-leaked and celebrated west coast party starter Just Off Wave. Originally recorded in 2014, these tracks sat on ice until they finally passed Claudio’s Cadillac-test™.

Side A’s Just Off Wave throws back to a pioneering moment of Pacific Northwest hip-hop mysticism. It first gained sneaky notoriety as a favourite of local DJs, eventually making it around the world thanks to some—in classic Mood Hut fashion—misplaced CDRs. The track is blessed with the hypnotiq call-and-response vocals of the low-key but legendary Separated At Birth crew —an alias of two Canadian rappers born on the same day. Contract restrictions prohibit us from revealing any more. 

Side B features Open Mic Beat, an ecstatic DJ tool centred around an improvised drum machine traffic jam. This tune got its legs at early Mood Hut parties where it became a natural prompt, encouraging microphone-grabbing party guests to step up and freestyle.

Dealber es un innovador músico y productor catalán que ha sabido fusionar la esencia de la música house con ritmos africanos y dub techno. Desde sus inicios, Dealber ha estado inmerso en la escena de la música electrónica independiente, creando un sonido único que resuena con la energía y la diversidad de sus influencias.
En 2018, lanzó su primer EP, un trabajo que marcó el inicio de su carrera y que rápidamente captó la atención de los amantes de la música electrónica. Un año después, en 2019, presentó un segundo EP, esta vez en formato de vinilo, un gesto que refleja su compromiso con la autenticidad y el respeto por la música en su forma más pura.
Dealber ha llevado su arte a diferentes salas de Cataluña, donde ha compartido su enérgico y cautivador live set, logrando conectar profundamente con su audiencia. Actualmente, se encuentra trabajando en un nuevo proyecto que se centra en su actuación en directo, cuyo desarrollo podría eventualmente convertirse en su próximo disco. Este nuevo proyecto promete seguir explorando su estilo distintivo, a la vez que incorpora nuevas ideas y elementos sonoros que enriquecerán su evolución artística.
