This is a song about an old rocking chair on the front porch that symbolizes the love of a woman for a man who has left her. Finally, she makes an attempt to get him back by sprucing up the rocking chair.

I am a late in life bloomer to the Country Music scene after 45 yrs. as an RN. I always loved country music as a child growing up in Memphis TN. I noticed I had a knack for words as a poet, and amateur music critic! I love the message and the hook. As a retiree I find myself with lots of free time.
