Launched back in 2015 @closertotruth is a label which has already built a wonderful reputation as one of the finest house labels out there. A combined project between @alex_agore & @david-nicol their releases are both consistent and consistently brilliant.

After taking 2016 off, he came back guns blazing in 2017, releasing 5 solo ep's in 1 year on labels like Shall not Fade and Baka Gaijin. His Me and you and her' ep for Heist showcases his contemporary view on classic house and acid, and is an experiment into how much distortion a track can actually handle when you've got a killer sample hook.

Melbourne based DJ and producer Dean Turnley is quite the hidden talent, running strong from six enormous years of professional experience both nationally & internationally this humble player is truly setting some solid roots in an already abundant underground music culture.

Since his return to Melbourne he has been a regular fixture at various local dance institutions, as well as regularly travelling interstate to share his brand of bass driven  magic to the unsuspecting masses. 

Dean has recently turned his full creative focus to his personal productions with some exciting collaborations and originals set for release at the end of the year.
