A super talented friend and collaborator grabbed my acapella from SoundCloud and produced this incredible track for "Living a Lie" and I actually think I love it more than the original music. (P.S. That almost never happens.)

I wrote this song about someone I cared about very much. We dated once many years ago and then made the mistake of trying to revisit that relationship many years later. While some of it is a bit over-dramatized, I was inspired just by that idea of trying in vain to recapture something that didn't really work in the first place. I'm really proud of how the song in general turned out and adore this new version of it as well.

A lot of people ask what the tattoo on my inner forearm means (see song image). It's a lot to explain, but this is the song that inspired it. I've recorded it 3 or 4 different ways over the years, and never managed to get a fully-produced, finished product. This was one of the better takes, and despite it never being completely finished, it's one of the most personal things I've written.
