"The Emptiness Machine" originally marked a pivotal moment in Linkin Park’s history: the band’s first official release after the passing of Chester Bennington, and the emotional yet controversial introduction of their new lead vocalist, Emily Armstrong. 
The track, which debuted as part of a special Meteora 20th Anniversary campaign, quickly resonated with fans resulting in over 15.000.000 YouTube views in the first weekend of release.

The Alexander Merlin remix builds on the original’s atmosphere and emotion, reimagining it through the lens of modern hardstyle. Influenced by the more epic and melodic side of hard dance, Alexander Merlin retains the soul of the original while introducing a fresh, high-intensity production style designed for festivals and visualizers alike.

Sparked by the controversial altercations online, Alex provided a golden easter egg in the form of Chester’s voice and legacy, honoring his forever contributions to Linkin Park’s evolution and willingness to push boundaries; now reinterpreted for the Hardstyle community.
