While Dean has honed in on his sound, ‘Grow Older’ does a fantastic job of highlighting the breadth of his artistry. Grow Older it's a prog-tinged melodrama about jealousy and longings. Beautifully scattered pianos across the song imbue a colourful accompaniment to his singer-songwriter repertoire, and the song structure remain focused on the storytelling as much as the heartfelt lyrics do.

Delicate introspection intertwined with melodic guitars and a touch of folk. These are the 3 sonic pillars that make up the bedrock of Dean Denmark, Zurich-based singer-songwriter and guitarist.

He was introduced to music early in his childhood through his father and uncle’s love of the blues. His personal foray into composition and writing was catalysed through the guitar, a humble past-time that evolved into complete obsession. These 6 strings quickly became the main mode of expression that Dean pours his emotions and creativity into.

The stories he tells through his productions are authentic, shaped around personal experiences of love, longing and the fulfilment of dreams. Inspiration is drawn through many different avenues, whether it be literature, travelling or hiking. This holistic approach to deriving inspiration has enabled Dean to form his own unique commentary on society through music, and runs deep through his lyrics. Above all, he seeks to touch the hearts of listeners so that they can go on and find their own experiences in music and place in the world. 

Creating something from nothing is a passion that fed his career. Launching himself as a singer/songwriter in 2014 led to two EP's the following year, which was then followed by his self-recorded and produced debut album, 'Through A Realm Of Utopic Beliefs'.

Dean Denmark’s forthcoming release ‘Veil Of Haze’ stays true to his roots, with strong, introspective themes running deep throughout. It premieres October 2020 and will be available across all major streaming platforms.
