For the last episode in 2021 I could convince the scandinavian artist Miia Magia, who delivered such a beautiful selection for the next hour.
Since nearly two decades Miia Magia has been traveling from Britpop and Nu Disco to Deep House and Techno. She organized parties and earned residencies at the legendary Helsinki clubs Semifinal, DTM and mbar that made her a diverse and open minded dj.
When she moved to Stockholm in 2015 for 4 years, she more and more developed her own deep, sharp, groovy and moody sound that is reflected in her contribution for this months episode.

When she moved back to Helsinki two years ago, she’s been focusing on producing music and run her own club and podcast concept Motto. The latest addition to that is the label project Motto Sono Records, run together with Mr. Barth alias Cari Lekebusch.

Johannes Volk is known for his releases on Axis, Dolly, Construct Re-Form, Tief or his own label Exploration, producing conceptual techno. At heart he is a vinyl collector and his DJ sets combine an open minded, raw and hypnotic techno sound.

At the age of 14, Johannes came into contact with Detroit Techno, from this time he began to explore the roots of electronic dance music and collecting records. It was not long after that an obsessed Johannes began producing his own music, collecting and mastering the machines responsible for sculpting the music he was now in love with. Amazingly, his first record was released on Jeff Mills’s Axis Records in 2006, followed by a series of vinyl releases on other labels including Patrice Scott’s Sistrum and Steffi’s Dolly imprint. Such was Johannes’ musical output that he decided to start his own label to release only his material in 2011. Named ‘Exploration’, the imprint is dedicated to conceptual Techno and Science-Fiction music and has given Johannes full creative freedom to amazing effect, many of the series are regarded as highly sought after artifacts selling for high sums of money on discogs.

As a Dj, Johannes depth of knowledge and ear for a groove is rivaled by few.
His skills as a Dj have seen him play alongside many of the greats at Berghain, Corsica Studios, Concrete, Panorama Bar, Tresor, Batofar and many more.
