Tall buildings all over the place and a flat tyre

well I'd rather take my chances on rolling those dice

Halfway across the hall there's some wine spilt on the floor
there's a sign on every door that I see
says keep it quiet for all those birds on the wire
every flight has a price you can't see

Construction sites are out of men, there's an elevator that's only going down
you put your head to rest on my shoulder
and all the christmas lights and the afterglow
of every night we spent is now running low
till the firetrucks have reached the fire
till there's no more excuses to hire.
