This little tune was written using a drum machine and a synthesiser, a switch up from my usual sandbox of toys but I love this sound. It's a song about the creative process. Enjoy.

During this nightmare of a pandemic, I decided to do what a lot of folk had been doing, record my own feelings about what was going on. I worked remotely but managed to wrangle a few of my friends to add their voices to the song. So here it is, my pandemic anthem! Enjoy.

All This Time

Growing up in the south of England during the eighties, some of my earliest memories of music were on car journeys with my family. My Dad would play albums from Dire Straits to Depeche Mode to The Beatles. Those sonic discoveries made a huge impression on me. When I was 11, I bought my first guitar, a kind of beaten up, bright red surf rock guitar. I learned how to play Led Zeppelin songs as my older brother blasted them out from his bed room. It set me on a path, a path which I’m still exploring to this day. I’m fascinated by music, unusual arrangements, songs that resonate. 

After a period of music study where I deepened my passion for composition I spent my twenties in bands, making records and playing shows. I even got to tour the states in an old school bus that ran on vegetable oil! That tour finished with a set at Red Rocks amphitheater, still one of the most magical live experiences I've had.

I work now as a media composer based in Lexington, Kentucky where I live with my wife Cassie and our two kids Bosely and Desirea. I still pull on my roots as a song writer and arranger. I feel like that is the bed rock to everything else creative. I’ve contributed to scores for movies (Brick, Looper) and produced and collaborated on a number of records. I can’t see a time when I won’t want to make music.
