Man it's good to be back! With well over a year passing since our last release - the monumental 'Conquerors' by Jnks & Redraft Memories - we've finally got the bit between the teeth and doing what we've done best the past 10 years and that's releasing dancefloor bombs!

Who better to get those juices flowing again than our very own Benjamin Vial , it's been some 3 years since he last made a noise on the imprint (Elements EP) and this time around there's a substantial amount more ACID involved!! Think early Lone & Special Request, but in his own inimitable and superlative way.

'Acid Body' encompasses his passion for live percussion grooves, empassioned yet ambient atmospherics and that nonpareil 303, making for a truly memorable adventure in dancefloor acoustics! 
And with Benj having a 30+ year history in this profession, the second jam on this release 'Acid That Jazz' speaks for itself! A perfect marriage of low-slung, 90's tinged acid-house and smoke-filled jazz club keys and double bass!

On remixes we see the return of 3 old friends, the Welsh pairing Kodiaks who've gone postal with some wonky-synthed, bass-driven breakbeat! And Maxx Pony with some sultry and brooding tech-house

Hey, it's been a minute! Sorry for the wait.

Kodiaks are no strangers to DPR or the underground of South Wales from whence they hail. Having a lengthy education in all things breakbeat and techno, they've put out a number of momentous tracks over the years and some equally tight remixes to boot.

It's with this tutelage of 2 and a bit decades of all things bass & beats that they've stated an affirmed message, ''we want to make some dancefloor damagers, plain and simple; taking some of the old guard characteristics that we championed in our DJ sets, like Koma & Bones, Evil Nine, Freq Nasty & Bassbin Twins, and mixing them with the new(er), i.e. Lone, Pangaea & Untold, it born Growler. We think the track speaks for itself''.

A raw amen break is accompanied by a tribal undertone in the groove, bass growls underneath and the width comes with disjointed 303, detuned pads and glistening synths. There's an abundance of energy, grit and atmosphere to keep the track interesting and the dancefloor engaged, whilst providing enough to crossover between tougher house & techno.

As for The Mule, is there such a thing as tribal-electro? If so, you heard it here first! The guys have really made something unique here, raw bass & bombs drive a beast of a drumline, whilst detuned pads and glacial synths wind their way through a truly memorable floorfiller.

With such a formidable track in Growler, we've asked some equally solid producers to step up with the remixes. Aubrey Fry has been stratospheric at the moment and his remix has certainly gone there too with recent visits to imprints like Bedrock & LNOE. And Ragdy, who's a newer name on the lips, but making some amazing dub-garage sounds out of Bristol at the moment, good enough for Martyn [3024] to champion.

They say not to meet your heroes; well we have surrounded ourselves with them on this release, and boy have they done us proud!

Johan Soh is no stranger to DPR, having remixed a number of our label mates since 2011, the Swede has always provided incredibly polished & memorable examples of dance music, borne of many years of making it on his ever present imprint Sound Of Habib and countless other notable labels for some icons of dance music. And for even more meat to the bone, this piece is done with good friend and equally adroit Evl Tom - yes, he of Evil Nine fame.

The pair grace us with 'Soma Ulte', the maiden on DPR, and what a first it is! A beautifully crafted piece of electronica, to be expected by masters of their art.

Speaking of masters, Dan F is no stranger to the underground and he shouldn't be to the educated ear, an ever present through the 00s working with the likes of Unkle & Lee Burridge, and a legendary club (Yumla & 7echno) and label (Disuye) owner in his own right, he's graced many a DJ booth both with his music and his sets. 'Soma Ulte' has been taken down the deep electro route with his inspiring remix; grit and groove lead the way on this, wrapped by warm-detuned pads and synths for that extra depth.

And it doesn't stop there! Stefan Goodchild aka Stabilizer has spent over 2 decades making some stunningly thought-provoking bass-laden electronic music, none more so than the past 3 years with a huge resurgence of house, electro, techno & his most consistent form breakbeat. Which is where the latter takes us: a drumline to die for and bassline only the finest artists can muster! An education in the art of breaks, bleeps and beats!

Last but not least, a firm favourite of the Death Proof family - Ettica - steps up to see a new project born, may we introduce B.P.S.W. And what an introduction! Hold tight all you garage-come-house heads for an unapologetic bomb! Dipping between smile enducing vocals and outright lethal basslines it's hard not to dance/sit/stand/lay/walk/move to this one.

It's been some time since Parcel, our prodigious LA native, last made an appearance (Viable) on DPR but as the saying goes, good thing's come to those who wait. Parcel's been busying himself on his home circuit of late, championing his work around the City Of Angels, with some stand out dates alongside Scuba, Super Flu and Shaun Reeves in recent times. But with all this play has come some hefty work in the studio, which is evident on this stunning EP, 'In The Streets'.
''Windows'' makes it even more apparent how much techier his music has become since ''Viable''. But, he still holds his delicate tendencies in their entirety. Glacial strings and a throbbing bassline are the opener on this number, all taking you to quite possibly the most awe-inspiring melody of keys we've heard from him. It's a druggy daze of a track eclipsing a typically tight roll... stellar work!
"Shook" is archetypal Parcel; groove-laden, emotive dancefloor readiness. An air of confidence now shines through the melodies, filtered pads and bass, and the added vocal snaps, fx and airy synths hit home with aplomb. Proving yet another glossy canvas of electronic prowess to close out what has to be one of our proudest moments on DPR.

''I made this in light of the honours bestowed on the architects of Detroit's techno earlier this year in their home city.  It was an amazing moment to see the Belleville Three (Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins and Derrick May), Carl Craig, Jeff Mills, Eddie Fowlkes, Kelli Hand and Underground Resistance to receive the accolades they so rightly deserved, and initially just for my sets as I thought it would be great for the summer shindigs.  Little did I know after playing it out over the past few months I'd get the responses I did.

I thought I'd now give it out to my peers to see what they think of it, hope you like it!''

Our new artists on the roster need no introduction, as they've been taking the underground by storm since 2006 and have already blown us away at DPR with one of our most celebrated remixes. After a much needed hiatus, Brisker & Magitman are finally back taking 2016 by the proverbial balls. And we're lucky to be part of their onslaught.
'Remote' sees them picking up where they left off. Titanic tech-house is their forte and the groove sets immediately with some typically tight percussive work then it's not long before their growling bass punches through with the rasping claps & snares to add more shuffle. Fluent, glacial synths then ping to keep the interest whilst gorgeous vocals then flit amongst it to lead to the drop into more teeth rattling bass and well-timed breakdowns. Stunning.
To give the original the justifiable tweaking it deserves we've asked another eminent figure in the shape of Meat Katie; the underground stalwart has stripped back his remix, ensuring another tight swing and punch rhythm for a steady, glorious roller. With even more emphasis on the rumble of the bass, some subtle buzzing synth inclusion and the addition of his now customary expansive builds & drops this has proved a fine rethink.
On the last of the remix duties we have a new name to inaugurate on DPR, but not so new in personnel. Parallax Echo Corps is the new brain-child of an established duo who've graced the imprint before. And with a new emphasis on a new sound for this new project, they've brought the fire and more. They've twisted the original into an acidic techno monster; with thunderous kicks, raw bass, gritty cymbals, grotesque rolling snares, huge 303 and disjointed de-tuned alarm lead, encased in pure-evil automation, sheesh!

There's moments when running a label you get to do something truly amazing, and this is certainly one of them. We've been given the opportunity to an exclusive release from an exciting new project that is beginning with a prodigious Swedish quartet of Andreas Weidevik, Johan Karlsson, Martin Halinowski & Samuel L Session and consisting of vocals from Jules & Samuel himself.

This conceptual collective is susceptible to growing in size in the future, with the introduction of other like-minded artists toing and froing their ideas into the melting pot, until they're wholly content in the end product. An expansive harmonic democracy.

The diversity is there to be heard in both tracks; 'Know Your Place's subtelty in groove and moody warm bass and pads allow a story to unfold in the haunting vocal, whilst 'Waiting' emphasises the patience the 4 have taken to ensure it hits all the right buttons, providing a gorgeously warm slice of techno.

First of the year and a welcome return from our Mexican cohort Jnks. It's been over 2 years since his magnificent 'Hold On A Second' dropped on DPR, but he's busied himself in that time with starting his own collective imprint 'Iteration Methods' and a number of other high class releases.

'Replica' starts this EP perfectly, a gutsy and punchy arrangement that moves and twists through melodic anti-climatic drops and breaks. And then comes 'Sheol', which takes the other end of the techno spectrum, a warehouse-ready number, with a throbbing yet disjointed drumline, that allows sparse pads and atmospherics to pierce through, before a rasping bass line takes over to complete this really gritty number.

The remixes see 2 new names, but not exactly strangers to the label. Once named the monumental Diction; Roderick & Rodes are now making their singular, personal stamp on techno. And safe to say they've hit the ground running, with 2 outstanding interpretations of the two originals from this stellar pack.

We got a bit giddy when this dropped in the mail, been to long since we've had some thumping house on DPR! The Organ Grinder has become synonymous with some real peak time jams over the past few years, stripping this one back to show off the distinctive punch and groove in his drumline, he's gone a touch minimal on the lead too, but still carries his unmistakable, raw & gritty sound with cheeky breaks and drops to keep those juices flowing.

On remix duties, Swedish savant Calle Dernulf does his own stunning interpretation of this sparse original; he disjoints the groove and introduces a delicious bassline whilst allowing that atmospheric lead to carry over the top. Then up pops up Wales' latest techno trouvere Tom Ware with a relentless take on the original, with another fierce kick and off-tilt acidic bassline he's made this rethink basement ready. Less is certainly more with this release.

With a gargantuan 3 years between this release and Paul's last, it's safe to say we've waited too long to see some more work from him. Nonetheless, Paul returns with a thumping new track in the shape of 'Scuffle'. It's defintitely worth the wait! 

As the title suggests this isn't for the feint of heart. 'Scuffle' is arnarchic and unbridled in it's approach, this ferocious techno-stomper is expected to leave dancefloors messy. It's raw in it's drive and groove, yet atmospheric enough to reach every corner of the space it gets unleashed in. Dictating throughout with warped vocals and pulsing bass, it climaxes into rawkous breakdowns, only to be dropped and scruffed up again for the next onslaught. 

On remix duties, up step some of the most exciting acts to come out of the techno & house scenes in recent years. Firstly fellow Welsh live-techno outfit Blap, who have seen plaudits from some of techno's elite this year after their much lauded release on Blackseam Records. Next up see's Edingburgh's Duellist; brutal unabandoned techno is his forte which has seen him take his ruthless sound to the land of the rising sun, Japan in recent months. And last but not least house-head One Six, who needs no introduction to the DPR faithful having provided one of our favourite remixes ever on Parcel's 'Viable'.

It's been a while. Not just for us but for Deor too. Deor is no stranger to the label, having released under his own name Anthony Williams way back in 2012, which seen his then release 'Brazil' achieve some deserved accolades, topped with a release of the month courtesy of DJ Mag.

Having found the bug again he's lent himself a new guise which we're very excited for you to hear.  Powerful hooks, spacial melodies and rasping bass aplenty on this release. With Bloom taking centre stage, ticking all of the above on a sumptuous house groove, then Hatch comes through with some welcome tough stuff to get the energy peaking, only for Seed to finish off in darker realms with distant vocals, even greater arpeggiated synth work and bass.

The remix comes from another DPR household name PARCEL, who shares duties with Might i. They both encapsulate their remix perfectly with their achingly beautiful interpretation. Taking it down a notch to some real deep house vibes.

A pairing at the height of their game now, label-mates Jnks & Redraft Memories take to the studio together for the first time and have honoured us with a double player of monstrous proportions. ‘Conquerors’ speaks for itself, as a thundering techno onslaught. Concluded with ‘The Fallen Ones’ for a more low-slung but equally tough affair.
To do the originals justice, we’ve enlisted 2 names of iconic stature. Samuel L Session, who’s synonymous for his indelible techno creations, maintains the distinctive hook of ‘Conquerors’, but takes it further into a Detroit warehouse-ready masterpiece. Where as Sebastian Bayne, who’s no stranger to momentous remixes on DPR, flips the lid on ‘The Fallen Ones’ taking it into the stratosphere and beyond with another celestial rework.
