Sometimes I wonder: What’s my place to say?
And if in amid chemical shifts in my brain
I maintain any truly consistent opinions
With all the continuous stimulus headed my way...
 
Beta-testing the information age
Untangling the way that the data’s exchanged
I’ll admit I’m a bit overwhelmed
But I’m getting a hang of the pace

If you need to escape
I know a place
There’s a digital pin where the sky gets its pitchest
The unaided eye can see millions of miles away
And there isn’t a signal in range

I’m hiding

Showing restraint
Waiting to perfectly articulate

Patiently biding my time

Merry Christmas coronary
Happy New Year heart attack
A lump of Sludge obstructing blood from
Falling in familiar tracks
A damned disease of arteries
A sudden stream of pulmonary plaque

They drained the downtown Olentangy
‘Neath Scioto overpass
Its surface shined a second set of lights
  The mud is cutting it in half
And it gets dark and scary;
Fades into extraordinary black. 

The opposite of lightning
Strikes extraordinary black
Subtracting from the background
Leaving vastness in its path. 

No low rumble from its thunder

In its ice beams trees are freezing
