DEATHSTRUCK was formed in Budapest, Hungary in April 2012.
However the idea of bringing back the traditional Gothenburg death metal style goes back to six years earlier when the overpopulated metalcore genre reached its commercial peak.
The band was initially known as DEAD ETERNITY and after 3 years of partial activity ceased to exist so each member would start working on their own projects.
During a jam session in early 2012 drummer Bende T. who previously had tried out for Dead Eternity advised to play 'Dystopic New Era' which later led to the revival.
Deathstruck has created a very intense and melodic sound mixing brutal vocals of Zsolt Lédeczi - whose voice is often compared to Tomas Lindberg - with aggressive thrash-death-inspired instrumentals of Peti Kulcsár, András Koloszár and Bende T.
In 2013 the band was reduced to a four-piece with the departures of Zsolt Lédeczi and Richárd Stoffer who have been replaced by bass player and singer Borisz Sarafutgyinov.
Deathstruck is currently working on their debut EP which is due to be released in March.
