Time and time again, I find that I forsake You
I'm chasing after all these earthly pleasures

So how did we become like this,
Our friendship strained with such deep pain?
Weighed down with chains as we go insane,
Still our passion and fervor wane.
 
The frequent ebb and flow is hard on the heart,
But I know that we will never part.
Through thick and thin, the deepest of skin,
Nothing can separate us as friends.
 
As we unite in common thoughts,
We recover then we discover
We've always been close as lovers,
Oh, so dependent on one another.
 
We can't forget that most of all,
We share a common bond, rooted in Christ.
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
