矯激 [ Radical ] returns with Charlatanisme, a four-track EP featuring original material unearthed from his early inspirations and infused with his signature moody aesthetics. In this project, he blurs the lines between downtempo and half-time rhythms.

The journey opens with Charlatanisme I, an ode to desert chants built upon convoluted, intricate rhythms. Charlatanisme II shifts the energy toward the dance floor, exploring darker, cavernous beats and immersive atmospheres.

The exploration takes an acidified turn with Charlatanisme III, blending Electro-Rock energy with psychedelic textures. The EP concludes with Charlatanisme IV, a track fueled by 90’s Stoner Rock inspirations, with an electronic twist and some big subs, bridging the gap between his foundational works and experimental soundscapes.

I have one big playlist called 'Tea & Yoghurt' with tracks that fit my morning routine. The idea is that I could always start this playlist during my morning walk, followed by some… tea and yoghurt. The playlist itself covers a lot of ground, from Fila Brazillia to The Cinematic Orchestra or some Mount Kimbie and LTJ Bukem to have an extra kickstart. But for this mix I went a step further into the lazy end of things. A balanced combination between acoustic work and futuristic sounds, all leaning towards those slow Sunday mornings where you're in no rush to do anything.

Also wanted to revisit something. Back in 2019 I made a Sunday Snooze mix for 3voor12, and for a long time I wanted to make a follow-up. So here it is and feels good to share this new take with my close friends from Delayed. Hope it brings you a fresh start for the rest of the day.

French duo BNJR and Moteka join forces on the ‘Similar Sundays’ single for R&S Records, delivering a peak-time slice of deep & hypnotic techno. 

Via releases for Skryptöm Records, Sotor Records and FLASH Recordings, Marseille based producer Moteka has been building his reputation and techno chops for over ten years, fashioning an exhilarating live set that’s led to shows at The Rex in Paris, Renate in Berlin and The Glove That Fits in London.

BNJR is a key figure within Paradox Techno and a Dj/producer actively contributing to the rise of the French-Moroccan electronic scene. Since joining the Paradox collective, he has been involved in the growth and artistic development of the Moroccan imprint Sotor Records, helping spotlight a new generation of talent.

‘Similar Sundays’ unfurls right off the bat; a pacey and driving production that swells with emotive pads and shadowy ambience, whilst never letting up its tempo and industrious high-hat work, all delivered with classic techno sensibility and tones.

Life As A Duck marks the return of Fergus Sweetland's imprint Pressure Systems and the label's first vinyl release.

The title originates from a joke between two friends - friends that are ducks. These ducks found one another whilst discovering themselves, trying to navigate a world built for humans. Being a duck is another way of saying neurodivergent; existing adjacent to everything whilst trying to make sense of a strange planet, determined to remain as true to themselves at the same time as being accepted in society.

The tracks were made in direct response to a challenge presented to Fergus from a close friend: strip it back. The test was to apply brain-licking sound design to as few elements as possible and work them into functional tracks to be played in clubs. 

Tickle My Tism meets the challenge. Fergus' signature low end captures the hips as the tension builds, expanding into an unexpected soundscape with precise smoothness. Trouble In The Bubble takes you to a dark and dubby  rolling club track full of textures and soundscapes. Nørbak's remix of Trouble In The Bubble strips things down further with the Portuguese Garage (PTG) version, providing a club-focused slant to the tune. Mind Easer closes out the EP. The closing track was written to ease the mind of a fellow duck when their feathers were ruffled by life. Its soothing focus allows one to melt into the sound and calm their mind. It tells you that everything is going to be okay.

Expect the unexpected as Fergus' distinct sound design carries you through a four-track journey that emphasises that less is more - from a duck just trying to do his best.
