New Years Eve

i recorded my gf saying the first paragraph of the bible

This came from a headspace of what it's like to be a student in your last semester of college during finals week. It's tough to focus so it's easy to get distracted. You start spinning a coin on your desk and next thing you know.... your mind starts running. 

In the middle of the peace is an interlude, where the mind begins to run too fast so the character has to step out for a smoke break... before it spins off again and then SNAP you're back at your desk with the coin still spinning, never have physically left where you are.
