Sometimes I'm Happy, is a popular jazz standard written by Vincent Youmans, with lyrics by Irving Caesar originally in 1923 under another title and lyrics. It was first intended for the Broadway musical Mary Jane McKane, but was cut before the show opened. The music was later used, with new lyrics and title, in the 1925 musical A Night Out, and in the musical Hit the Deck, in 1927.
