My production and arrangement of Destiny’s Door by Hans Zimmer for the Bleeding Fingers competition. I kept my favourite sounding stems of brass, winds and added a choir and other sounds for a Heavenly and spiritual feeling.

Many excellent composers have taken part in this and I feel lucky and privileged to be arranging some of Hans Zimmer’s sounds! I hopefully learnt something in the process and hope you enjoy my arrangement of the piece.

Heat of War

Started yesterday as an 4 bar idea on my iPad with Figure and finished  today in Bitwig.

Figured it Out

A reflective mood, looking back and remembering those who have fallen in the wars. Featuring piano, double bass and strings.

Memory of the Fallen

A short blast of cinematic epic drama to end with. With drums, trumpets, violins, cellos and a little choir! A longer version is available on request.

Triumphant Ending

Here's a piece I did back in October for a client down in New Zealand for a six and a half minute time lapse sequence. The imagery itself is unbelievably beautiful! Anyway, so I had a blast writing the music for it where I used some programs I hadn't used in a long time, namely the Heavyocity AEON collection. In addition to that I also used Heavyocity's DAMAGE and Evolve Mutation 1 & 2 and EVOLVE as well. 

The project took some time because when writing to a time lapse sequence as long as that, you gotta figure out where you wanna place hits and you gotta have music that's captivating enough to hold the listeners through the entire video. It reminded me of when I wrote Time Lapse for a client out in Atlanta for their 8 minute video that took me a weekend to write up...it was tough, but so worth it. Same applies to this project! It took me a while to figure out what genre I wanted to go with and then within 3 days I wrote out the entire thing. Anyway, enjoy!

H Y P E R D R I V E

I have never really been a singer/songwriter, but this tune has been kicking around in my head for 2-3 years so had to finally get it done and out!

This is also my first project with Logic Pro which I'm learning as I go; Back to Sibelius soon.
