Liking this Debra ( just listened to Ah! vous dirai-je, Maman) I got a lead preschool teacher job once b/c I was the only applicant who could sing 'Twinkle' in key, albeit with my unschooled, gravely voice. ha ha.

The change of key at 1:01 is wonderful...thought provoking

For one reason or another, a key component, of the instructional value of this piece, the importance of which somehow seems even more clearly expressed to the listener than in the earlier variations, is the importance of maintaining an appropriate dynamic range, for example, the importance of remaining within the boundaries of, say, mezzo-piano up to mezzo-forte; the importance of avoiding dynamic emphasis which lies outside the catchment area of what was rightly judged to be the correct dynamic range....highlighted in this particularly beautiful variation as though in chiaroscuro. A little improvisation on Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.  Not quite up to Herr Mozart's "Ah! vous dirai-je, maman", but then, I'm no Mozart.  But thank you, Mr. Mozart, for the idea.

The music reflects on the enduring spirit of ancient civilizations, a testament to resilience, but also pays homage to the people of Capulálpam de Méndez who have become my adopted family here in Mexico. Best described as eclectic, my style is a soothing mix mirroring my personality: mostly mellow with the occasional outburst. Although I have a background in classical piano I have always loved to create and improvise.  Since early childhood I have been trying to duplicate on the piano what I hear in my head.  Now I see how formal studies and improvisation fit together perfectly. I hope to always keep growing and learning, reflecting the beauty of Christ in all my endeavors.
