Recorded in Istanbul in July 2015 with a number of local visionary musicians, Débruit presents a synthetic and  rhythmic journey inside  the  city's  history  and future.  'Débruit  &  Istanbul',  his fourth  album,  is  set for release through his own multidisciplinary label ICI on 27th May 2016. 

During his 15 days in Istanbul, Débruit worked on an imaginative interpretation of the city carried by the megalopolis through its meanders. He collaborated with established artists, including leading fusion-jazz percussionist  Okay  Temiz,  70s  Turkish-funk  star  Mustapha  Özkent,  gypsy  master  clarinettist  Cüneyt Sepetçi, and rising and grass roots local musicians such as art-rock singer Gaye Su Akyol, Melike Şahin and Murat Ertel of BaBa ZuLa. 
The inspiration of sounds, rhythms, lights and tempo of the city at different moments  in  time  have  resulted  in  a  melting  pot  of  traditional, visionary,  electric,  psychedelic,  futuristic, melodic and experimental music. Now set for release to the public, 'Débruit & Istanbul' is a new vision of the exciting and captivating city.   

"I  wanted  this  album  to  be  driven  by  the  feelings  I  got from  Istanbul  and  my  encounters.  The  city’s enthusiasm and majestic urban and topographic flows inspired light but deep moods: there is a darkness in there but a proud one. A roughness in control. Istanbul has such an inspiring mix of tradition and forward thinking vision. It has a pulse of its very own. Its impossible to put into words the excitement, surprises and magic of making this album. Of the experiences of trying to find these people, walking up unknown streets or taking the boat to the Asian side. Discovering the city at the same time as being on the album journey, going to neighbourhoods I wouldn't have been to if it wasn't for recording. Opus onirique inspiré de l’odeur étonnamment réconfortante qu’est celle du phénomène climatique qui va éclater. Envahissant l’air, il nous ramène chacun à un souvenir sucré des vacances. Entre la légèreté de l’été et la lourdeur de la foudre, ce projet parle de la nostalgie des bons moments. Des balades pop, légères, toujours teintées de mélancolie. Des grandes plages harmoniques dans lesquelles s’immiscent de douces mélodies. Un EP qui reflète la vie, ni triste ni joyeuse, toujours en demi-teinte.

XXXIII, personnage étonnant et attractif, est un artiste aux sonorités romantiques, spatiales et galactiques inspirées des grands compositeurs dès années 70 & 80 tel que François de Roubaix, Hiroshi Sato ou encore Brian Benett. XXXIII, un chiffre aux grandes significations depuis des siècles, s’est entouré de nombreux synthétiseurs analogiques après un long périple dans les pompe funèbres ! Oui ! Un étrange lieu d’inspiration qui lui a permis de monter son home studio: Korg Lambda, MS20, Mopho 4.... Son espace intime ou il s’échappe fréquemment pour composer une musique pop aux allures de bande originale de sa propre vie.

Sa musique est solaire, mélancolique et parfois bancale. Après avoir rencontré Fulgeance & Musique Large, il compile et perfectionne toutes ces boucles synthétiques qu’il a créées ces dernières années pour en faire un EP qui raconte le quotidien du bout des doigts : « l’odeur de l’orage »

A dreamlike opus inspired by the surprisingly comforting smell of the climatic phenomenon that will explode. Invading the air, he brings us back to a sweet memory of the holidays. Between the lightness of summer and the heaviness of lightning, this project is about nostalgia for good times. Some light electronic-pop songs, always tinged with melancholy with great harmonics in which soft melodies intrude. An EP that reflects life, neither sad nor joyful, always half-tinted.

XXXIII, an astonishing and attractive character, is an artist with romantic, spatial and galactic sounds inspired by great composers from the 70s and 80s such as François de Roubaix, Hiroshi Satoor Brian Benett. XXXIII, a number with great meanings for centuries, built his home studio with many analog synthesizers after a long journey working in ... the funerals! Yes ! A strange place of inspiration and a small job that allowed him to set up his sound: Korg Lambda, MS20, Mopho4 ... An intimate space where he escapes frequently to compose an electronic-pop music, original soundtrack of his own life.

His music is solar, melancholy and sometimes wobbly. After meeting Fulgeance & Musique Large, he compiles and perfect all those synthetic loops he created this last years to make an EP that tells the daily life from the fingertips: “l’odeur de l’orage” meaning “The smell of the storm”.
