Intro Summer Sessions - Oh Five

Tis the season of giving and what better way to kick off the festivities than with an absolute Christmas cracker of a single!

Ed West returns with an original stripped back jungle work out with vocal duties delivered by none other than the smiley Don Inja, a highly prolific MC who works across all spectrum's of the drum and bass scene.

To accompany Ed's original mix we welcome back some of our label favourites give us their take on the riddim. First up Rahmanee delivers his usual high standard of production! Following on Fleck steps it up a level with a more heavy breakbeat rework and to finish it off Gold Dubs takes us in to the future with some bass heavy artillery !

From dancehall classic to dancefloor banger, Hospital mainstay and esteemed soul-selector Nu:Tone applies his production savviness to Barrington Levy’s seminal reggae anthem, ‘Here I Come'. Stimulated from the ground up with a warm, rolling bassline and kitted out with skittering amens to boot.

Fresh from his huge cover of the Beatles classic ‘Come Together’, Urbandawn steps into the fold with an utterly outrageous, monster remix of Chaka Demus’ ‘Forward & Pull Up’. This one speaks for itself, in Urbandawn’s trademark punchy, crunchy style.

The album is also the original home for Benny L’s infamous John Holt ‘Police In Helicopter’ remix, which shot to Beatport’s #1 spot across all genres, making both drum & bass and Beatport history.

The 'Jet Star Meets Hospital' project is the collaborative workings of the legendary reggae label Jet Star and leading drum & bass imprint Hospital Records. Also featured are hot and heavy remixes from Inja, Whiney, Saxxon, Particle, T>I, Quadrant, Kid Hops & Iris, Pete Cannon, Double O & Mantra, and Think Tonk.
