Since jumping on the tools a year ago, Greer has fast become a mainstay in the Meanjin dance music community. From supporting legends such as DJ Plead, DjRum, Crush3D & Swim, working with Synesthesia on local radio station 4zzz, and creating an ambient focused meditative series called ‘Take Care.’ Greer has carved out a path and is running full steam ahead.

Their usb is a juicy dégustation of gentle ambient soundscapes, disjointed breaks and experimental drum rhythms. Greer’s goal behind every selection is to take you on a journey full of tender love and care while leaving you in a hypnotic state, locked to the dance floor.

Masa is originally from Japan but resides in NYC and is studded frequently along the lineups of NYC parties. I saw Masa open the main stage room at Sustain Release in September this year and his set was one of my favourites of the weekend. He's definitely one of those DJs who has mastered a massive range of styles and genres, with this mix a perfect showcase of his fluid but cohesive style and vast and impressive collection of music. It had me dancing down the street when I listened for the first time :')

Lee Gamble creates genre-agnostic music, incorporating dub, garage, and jungle, bleeding into grindcore metal and machine-strength techno. LCY was born and bred in Bristol, soaking up the city's rich soundsystem culture, which still plays a crucial part in their music. Beta Librae @blibrae returns to Incienso with her third album, “DAYSTAR”. Whereas her previous album for the label, “Sanguine Bond” was an altogether more heady affair - “DAYSTAR”, like the name implies, is a bright and bold waypoint in the ever expanding Beta Librae universe. 

On eight songs, including a striking collaboration with james K @jamesk_1 on the lead single “Late At Night”, Beta gathers up new elements of sound and pairs them her unmistakable rhythmic shapes to bring us the most wide-ranging and cohesive B.L. album yet.

RIP IV is a bpd opera from the collective subconscious of E Fishpool, Kalyani, and Sam Miers. Set across Batemans Bay, Carlton, Bookar and Box Hill, the show traverses big emotions through dance music, improvisation, sampling and live instrumentation. Are organ covers the ultimate DJ hype edit? 

Played between CDJs, ableton, guitars, usbs, a heavy (and light) keyboard and human singing, RIP IV is a constant live edit, with Emily, Sam n Kalyani rotating roles and responsibilities to hold the set and move it forward. 

The set is constantly collapsing in on itself - with each artist offering new narratives whilst the others are slowly being ripped apart, re-used and recontextualised. It is a type of experimentation where the artists are able to bring all of themselves whilst simultaneously being open to being challenged.. Not only through sound, but through a collective vulnerability and openness to creating something incommensurable (fully tweaked). 

Punters reported experiencing something similar to an acid trip and tears were shed while hugging boulders.
