A legend in his own right with releases dating back more than 23 years on labels such as n5MD, Ad Noiseam, Schematic, Analogical Force and his own imprints. Roel was also the organiser of the Mindcamp events in The Netherlands that featured the best IDM artists and is one of our biggest heroes and a true inspiration. Did you know Roel also makes beautiful paintings? The artwork for this mix is one example, but we urge you to check out his other works.

Our third artist in October is none other than Italian multidisciplinary artist Francesco Presotto with his moniker Ex.Hale. His sound is characterized by dark, atmospheric textures that are driven by a modern vision of club music. The project is focused on the deconstruction of common compositional standards with the addition of crushing rhythm structures that establish the unusual framework of his subversive approach. With releases on Sonic Groove, Rudiment, and Voidance, in addition to soundtracks for fashion runways and design companies and to an increasing number of performances in clubs, museums and festivals around Europe, Ex.Hale has become a formidable force in electronic and experimental music.

Big love to the Decay crew for having me on. I put together this mix at the start of 2023 - featuring 3 hours of bass weight experimentation from all across the spectrum.. from dark and heavy 170 to glitchy west coast beats, some dubstep, some jungle and everything I could fit in between. Heavily influenced by weekends out in the bush, psychnoaut adventures and deep space contemplation. I made this in Ableton Live and took as much advantage as I could of tempo automation and  layered FX sends... Was a lot of fun to put together. Use it wisely ❤️⚡🧠
