 'La mujer muerta' es la historia de amor y sacrificio de Blanca, una joven que para prevenir el enfrentamiento entre dos hermanos enamorados de ella al mismo tiempo sin saberlo, evita el encuentro íntimo con los dos. Cuenta la leyenda que una noche de tormenta, los dos hermanos coincidieron en las puertas del castillo donde vivía Blanca. Ella acababa de citar al pequeño para darle su negativa, y al salir apareció por sorpresa el hermano mayor. Ambos no se reconocieron en esa noche de tormenta y empezaron a combatir... En su intento por evitar su lucha, Blanca salió a la pelea y se interpuso entre ellos, con tal mala suerte que una de las espadas se le clavó en el pecho provocándole la muerte. 
Cuenta la leyenda que del cuerpo de Blanca empezó a crecer una grandísima montaña, hasta convertirse en la cadena montañosa que hoy se conoce como 'La mujer muerta' en la sierra de Guadarrama, visible desde Segovia.(España)
