Detached from scenic requirements, these six guys from the Ruhr Area, Germany, play their own version of Alternative Rock - and mix it colourfully with elements from Post Hardcore, Emo Core and Trance Core. With their fresh sound, enormous energy and enthusiasm they convince you on stage just like on CD. Rich guitar riffs, driving beats and the combination of energetic shouts and poppy clean vocals create unimagined synergies and catchy passages. 

12 years ago, Decent Paint Box shared a stage for the first time and gained their first experience along side bands like Die Kaum Unglaublichen, aVid* and Ileus. After one demo album and another EP, the band split up in 2005, providing the band members with the opportunity to strike a new path and develop further. In 2013, these new paths led them back to their hometown Oberhausen and Decent Paint Box reunited. The reunion was celebrated as a support for Icarus The Owl (US) and Above the Underground (UK) during their European tour and at Olgas Rock 2014. 

With the experience from more than a decade of local music history, the band planned on doing something special: their first concept album. Replete with enthusiasm and commitment they created a new fantastic world, began to write a novel and tell this story in their songs. The listener follows the brothers Zac and David, who are forced to live without their parents after a stroke of fate. Being traumatized they divert from each other and surprisingly open a gate to another world - Memoria.

The concept album was recorded in spring 2015 and will be released on the 31st of July. DPB had successfully run a crowdfunding campaign on indiegogo to make ‚A Glimpse of Hope‘ reality. Equipped with their new CD, the six guys want to hit the ground running and take their audiences on a journey to a new world.
